This full-time School Nurse position provides essential health services and support for students in grades UPK through 5 within a K-12 school setting. The role is a leave coverage contract from March 23, 2026, through June 26, 2026, focused on maintaining a safe and healthy environment for approximately 500 students.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and managing student health needs, including emergencies, illnesses, and chronic conditions
- Administering medications and treatments according to care plans and physician orders
- Maintaining accurate health records and documentation
- Collaborating with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to promote student wellness
- Implementing health education and preventive measures to support a healthy school community
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- Previous school nurse experience preferred, especially within elementary or K-5 settings
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 500 students effectively
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in Liverpool, NY
- Full-time hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including a 30-minute paid lunch
