Position Summary

Kaleidoscope Dreams Foundation is seeking a Community Engagement Fellow for the Hells Kitchen National Tour a paid opportunity for an early-career artist or organizer to meaningfully coordinate community programming through a major touring production. The Fellow will support community engagement and audience development efforts while helping to foster an inclusive, responsive, and values-driven public presence for the show.

Were looking for a people-centered collaborator with strong communication and organizational skills, who brings creativity, curiosity, and a passion for building authentic relationships with local communities.


Eligibility


This fellowship is intended for individuals from historically underrepresented communities who are interested in building a career in theater or the performing arts.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in planning and executing community engagement events and activities related to the Hells Kitchen tour
  • Support outreach to local organizations, schools, and community partners
  • Participate in meetings with engagement and marketing teams
  • Help develop written and visual materials for public-facing communications
  • Support the documentation, archiving, and evaluation of engagement efforts
  • Develop a metrics-based system to capture the impact of community engagement
  • Attend rehearsals, performances, and public events as required
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive working environment



Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • Prior experience with community engagement, arts administration, public programming, or organizing is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide range of people and communities
  • Organized, reliable, and able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, social media platforms, and basic design tools is helpful
  • A flexible, proactive mindset and a commitment to equity and inclusion



Compensation

The Community Engagement Fellow will be paid $1237.50 per week for a total of nine weeks.
