- Communicate with customers, brokers, loan officers, and internal teams to ensure a seamless loan application process.
- Collect and verify loan documents, credit reports, income verification, and employment records.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting, investor, and state-specific guidelines.
- Review and process loan applications while monitoring for accuracy and completeness.
- Work with title companies, appraisers, and external vendors to obtain necessary documents.
- Identify and escalate any irregularities that may impact loan approval.
- Update and track loan conditions and status throughout the process.
- Assist in preparing and mailing commitment letters, loan disclosures, and other required documentation.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, risk policies, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to resolve conditions and finalize approvals.
- Process and track amendments, disbursements, and mortgage transactions.
- Review homeowners’ insurance, title work, and escrow documents for accuracy.
- Perform other administrative tasks related to mortgage loan processing as assigned.
Skills & ExperienceQualifications That Will Help You Thrive
- Associate’s degree with at least one year of mortgage industry experience OR
- 2-3 years of equivalent work experience, including 1 year in mortgage processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PDF software.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate loan documentation.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-volume processing environment.
- Experience with mortgage underwriting guidelines, investor requirements, and compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of loan origination systems and mortgage processing software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
