Title: NG911 CORE ESINET Project Manager
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months
Location: 2 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid role 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
Scheduled Work Hours: Normal business hours Monday-Friday Average 37.5 hours per week.
Rate: $80 - $90/Hour
Job Description/Justification:
CORE ESINETProject Manager
- Manages complex, mission-critical information technology (IT) projects from development of technology vantage point to production, which includes software development, hardware implementation, interface development, user interfaces, user integration and acceptance testing.
- Oversees project planning, including assigning tasks with corresponding due dates, maintaining project schedules, minimizing and/or mitigating project slippages, and conducting necessary research.
- Identifies resources to develop and manage project, as well as effectively and efficiently utilizes staff, equipment and other applicable resources.
- Collaborates and coordinates activities with the agencies and telecommunications vendors.
- Oversee implementation of the ESInet infrastructure for the PSAP.
- Work closely with executive level leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders
SCOPE OF SERVICES
TASKS:
- Provide Project Management expertise to technical network SME's to deploy complex NG9-1-1 systems of the enterprise monitoring system.
- Provide Project Management expertise to technical network SME's in the development and engineering drawings, as well as, technical specifications with custom configuration to meet the NG9-1-1 needs.
- Plan and coordinate with engineering team for the implementation required for system hardware, software and monitoring system to perform technical specifications.
- Develop and review project's schedule, effort using established best practices.
- Develop weekly cadence with management on risk and issues and other project deliverables.
- Manage projects throughout the entire development lifecycle, providing direction for project teams and monitoring the progress of deliverables and tasks.
- Work closely with executive level leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide oversight and management of blended teams of independent IT consultants and staff.
- Integration of interrelated Public Safety projects with NextGen911.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.
- At least 8 years of project management experience in analog/IP based telephony recording for complex emergency communications networks for medium/large scale technology projects.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
· 5+ years of experience in vendor management.
· PMP certification is “Highly Desired”
· Experience with w/ Internet Protocol (IP) based system, Networking, SQL, Security, Telephony, TDM, VoIP and CTI;
· Experience managing software development projects through the SDLC process;
· Experience gathering end user requirements and delivering solutions that meet end users needs;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills interfacing with executive level management and giving senior level presentations.
· Excellent project management and critical thinking skills and ability to interact effectively with technical staff, project managers, and functional managers;
· Solid technical experience in a large-scale enterprise environment for Emergency Services is “Highly Desired”.
