The Communications, Senior Manager is responsible for the delivery of WGH communications campaigns and content across all channels, in line with WGH’s Communications Strategy. This role ensures that communications effectively support WGH’s resource mobilization, advocacy, policy amplification, and internal communication. This is a key leadership position requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on technical communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications Support

Develop, execute, and evaluate WGH’s public relations and communications strategies to enhance brand awareness and support organizational goals.

Coordinate communications plans for WGH’s chapters, programs, and global events.

Support rapid response communications in collaboration with internal teams and partners.

Manage editorial calendars, content intake, and tracking of deliverables across all platforms.
Communications Campaigns
-
Lead conceptual development and technical execution of WGH headline campaigns.

Manage the creative development of campaign visuals and materials.

Define and implement measurable campaign delivery plans.
Communication Channels and Output

Develop and implement long-term content strategies.
-
Create and manage content including website copy, bulletins, donor communications, and program updates.

Lead delivery of high-quality communications including written content, social media, video, and design.

Oversee brand management, including brand guidelines and external design partnerships.

Ensure consistent, high-quality communications output.

Review and update communications channels such as the website and social media.

Provide support to events including town halls, webinars, and other engagements.
Internal Communications

Improve internal communications systems and practices.

Collaborate with technical teams to amplify advocacy and movement-building efforts.

Provide strategic communications advice to internal teams.

Build internal communications capacity across the global WGH team.
Maintaining and Upgrading Communications Systems

Support the development of systems for project management, media monitoring, CRM, and archival.

Implement and manage content-gathering strategies and workflows.
Representation and Partnerships

Build and maintain strategic communications partnerships.

Identify opportunities to increase WGH’s visibility and profile.

Represent WGH externally as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5–10 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Knowledge or fluency in Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.

Requires access to a dedicated remote workspace with stable internet.

May experience deadline-related stress and multi-project management.

Evening and weekend work may be required, in line with local labor laws.

Travel up to 10% may be required.
