Job Description

Title: Technical Designer- Sweaters and Cut Sew Knits

Location: New York, NY- Hybrid

Salary: $90,000-$100,000

Well established fashion company is seeking a Technical Designer

with minimum 5 year of experience with Sweater and Knitwear

Patterns and grading is a plus. This opportunity offers room to grow in

Responsibilities

· Submit detailed sketches along with tech packs including measurements and size grading.

· Collaborate with design team assisting with initial spec.

· Update Technical Packages to be sent to in house factories and overseas vendors including

construction sketch, construction description, and garment proposed specs.

· Approve photo samples ensuring they align with design aesthetic

· Follow up fit samples for construction and measurement accuracy.

· Evaluate each garment spec measurements, yarns, stitches and construction detail.

· Review with vendors on grading and/or construction corrections that are required.

· Must be able to solve problems and identify fit problems

Qualifications

· College degree or equivalent work experience

· Proficient in PLM, is a plus, Microsoft Excel

· Knowledge of Patterns, Grading and Garment construction

· 5 plus years sweater technical design experience in including knowledge of women’s and kids

· Walmart experience is a plus
