Position Overview:

Morgan Legal Group, a respected and dynamic law firm, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Coordinator to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of billing or accounts receivable experience in a professional services or law firm environment, with strong knowledge of billing systems, invoicing, and A/R processes. This role is essential in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting client satisfaction through efficient billing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and issue accurate client invoices in accordance with attorney time entries and client agreements

  • Conduct regular Accounts Receivable (A/R) reviews and follow up on outstanding or past-due balances

  • Maintain and update billing records to ensure accuracy and data integrity

  • Liaise with attorneys and staff to resolve billing discrepancies and clarify client-specific billing arrangements

  • Respond promptly and professionally to client billing inquiries

  • Support monthly and year-end financial reporting through accurate invoice processing

  • Ensure compliance with firm billing policies, engagement terms, and client requirements

  • Process billing adjustments, refunds, and credit memos as needed

  • Uphold confidentiality when handling sensitive client and financial data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of billing or accounts receivable experience in a law firm or professional services setting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) and experience with billing/accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)

  • Familiarity with legal billing systems, e-billing platforms, and LEDES format is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused demeanor

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to resolving discrepancies
