Job Description
Diligex is seeking a MSP Engineer to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level position suitable for someone with 4-6 years of experience in IT. We’re looking for people who are passionate about technology and love making customers happy.
The Engineer will work primarily from our Midtown NYC Office and/or at client locations, but may also work from home. Candidates are required to live within 50 miles of Manhattan.
Responsibilities Include:
•\tProvide remote and onsite support for our customer base including support of desktops, applications, mobile devices and user accounts. This includes break/fix, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measures.
•\tPerform Level 2/3 technical support on our Help Desk team.
•\tMonitoring and management of various client systems, company services and business support systems.
•\tCreate and update documentation of customer and business support systems. Documentation includes customer setup guides, client configurations and network diagrams
•\tPerform remote and onsite project work such as: client onboarding, office build outs, cloud migrations and build outs.
•\tWork with our partners to monitor and maintain various hosted services offerings (Exchange, File, VoIP, Backup).
•\tEnsure the integrity and timeliness of in-house and client system backups.
The ideal candidate will possess:
•\tBachelors degree
•\tTechnical certification from at least 1 major hardware/software vendors. MCP is preferred.
•\t2+ years of experience providing outstanding customer service via phone, email, and in person in a technical support role.
•\tExperience working in a hands-on IT Support environment.
•\tExcellent troubleshooting methodology.
•\tExcellent verbal and written skills.
•\tAbility to effectively prioritize tasks and manage a request queue in a fast-paced environment.
•\tAbility to work both independently and in a team.
•\tAbility to think fast, make sound decisions and multitask.
•\tProven proficiency in troubleshooting a variety of issues on both Windows and Mac workstations.
•\tA flexible schedule that permits working Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM.
Proven Technical Proficiencies:
•\tClient Operating Systems: Windows, macOS
•\tServer Operating Systems: Microsoft Server 2016+
•\tVirtualization: Microsoft Hyper-V, Azure IaaS
•\tCisco Meraki firewall, access points and switches
•\tMicrosoft 365 administration: Azure/Entra AD, Endpoint Management (InTune)
•\tMobile Devices: iOS, Android
•\tNetwork protocols (routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP)
Bonus points if you:
•\tHave worked for a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
•\tHave experience with PSA and RMM tools such as Kaseya, ConnectWise, Continuum, Labtech or N-Able
•\tHave your own transportation
