About the Role:

The Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing budgets, and conducting variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. The Accountant will also lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results. Additionally, this role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive operational efficiency and profitability. Ultimately, the Accountant will contribute to the overall financial health of the organization, enabling sustainable growth and compliance with regulatory standards.

Accountant Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Accountant Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification or equivalent professional designation.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.

Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

Skills:

The required skills in accounting and financial analysis will be utilized daily to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. Proficiency in accounting software will enable the Senior Accountant to efficiently manage financial data and streamline reporting processes. Strong analytical skills will be essential for conducting variance analysis and identifying trends that impact the business. Effective communication skills will facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams, allowing for the sharing of financial insights that drive operational improvements. Additionally, leadership skills will be important for mentoring junior staff and guiding them through complex accounting tasks.

Pay Range: $65,000-85,000.

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods, use hands to operate a computer and other office equipment, and communicate effectively via phone and email. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds.
