LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to work for a large, fast paced Distribution/Manufacturing company in the Bay Shore, NY area.

This is a Full Time, In Office Daily role.

830am-5pm.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting with a focus on accounts payable, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, maintaining financial records, and supporting the accounting department with various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately match purchase orders with invoices and ensure proper documentation.

  • Obtain necessary approvals for all outgoing payments.

  • Apply appropriate general ledger coding to all transactions.

  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly and professionally.

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date hard copy files for audit and compliance purposes.

  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned by the finance team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable.

  • College degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to download and manipulate large datasets.

  • Comfortable learning and using accounting software systems.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

  • High attention to detail, ability to manage high-volume workloads, and meet tight deadlines.
