Job Title: Packer Team Member
REPORTS TO: Production Manager, Head of Production
Position Summary:
Responsible for the packaging and fulfilment of our online, nationwide shipping and wholesale orders in accordance with our packing specifications. They lead in maintaining a safe and sanitary food service environment while upholding the core values of S.W.E.E.T. and its mission of promoting brand integrity and quality.
Principle Duties:
· Ensure all baked goods, merchandise, supplies, and other items are packed according to company specifications for nationwide shipping orders.
· Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
· Assist in determining shipping methods for new products, using knowledge of shipping procedures.
· Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to packages for shipping.
· Measure, weigh and count products/materials.
· Confirm that appropriate delivery documentation is generated for each order.
· Responsible for set up of the production facility which includes cleaning, organizing, storing documents and general upkeep.
· Work closely with their direct production manager and head of production to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or product that fail to meet company standards.

Physical demands and work environment:
· Stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
· Occasional moderate to heavy lifting up to 50lbs, bending and reaching overhead may be required.
· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, active listening ability and visual acuity.
· Continuous cross function communication with coworkers and management.
· Able to interpret visual aids, one-point lessons (OPL), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Process and Procedures (P&P), and quality and safety standards.
· Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Hours of work for the position are approximately 40 hours per week. Must be available to work holidays and weekends
· Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
· Must be dependable.
· Clean and professional appearance.
· Follows policies and procedures as outlined in the Magnolia Bakery manuals.
· Takes directions well and hits the ground running, must be efficient and fast.
· Understands expectations of role and works within the boundaries of the role.
