Job Summary
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and effective internal controls. This role supervises A/R, A/P, payroll, financial and inventory analysis. Additional responsibilities include cost accounting, contract support, and team development.
Essential Functions
- Supervise all accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, payroll, cost accounting, and general ledger.
- Maintain and optimize the Infor VISUAL Project Accounting/ERP system.
- Monitor project costs, review vendor POs, and ensure proper job costing and allocation.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support contract proposal preparation and customer negotiations.
- Supervise accounting staff; manage performance, training, and development.
- Review and approve payments (check and ACH); oversee collection of past-due accounts.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Assist with special projects and cross-department collaboration as needed.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- ERP experience required; Infor VISUAL A&D (Aerospace & Defense) experience highly preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace industry and in compliance with AS9100 standards, strongly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Understanding of contract law and secured transactions a plus.
- Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $90k to $110k annually. This estimated range represents a good faith projection of what we believe is a competitive compensation range for this position. Please understand that the offered salary will be determined based on factors such as the applicant's credentials, experiences, and the specific requirements of the role, as well as potential internal equity and external market considerations.
