Job DescriptionLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company in Nassau County to recruit for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist. The position requires 75% of payables and 25% of receivables. It is onsite, direct hire and can pay $65K to $75K depending on experience.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our fast-paced and growing accounting team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about maintaining financial accuracy and building strong relationships with customers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
• Review, process, and approve vendor invoices daily.
• Manage payables across multiple entities and QuickBooks files.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments in line with internal policies.
• Perform 3-way matching of invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
• Collaborate with supply chain and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain electronic AP documentation in compliance with retention policies.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
• Generate and distribute customer invoices, statements, and payment reminders.
• Post, verify, and record customer payments accurately.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Investigate and validate customer deductions and discrepancies.
• Maintain and update customer master data.
• Resolve invoice issues related to pricing, quantities, and terms.
• Handle collections, customer inquiries, and account reconciliations.
General Accounting:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
• Meet monthly close deadlines and support reporting needs.
• Generate ad-hoc financial reports as requested.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of combined AR/AP experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
