Job Title: Credit Analyst

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data and assessing creditworthiness of potential, and existing commercial and consumer borrowers. The Credit Analyst will work closely with the lending team to ensure that all loans are properly underwritten and meet the company's credit standards.


Duties

  • Analyze financial information (tax returns, W-2s, financial statements, credit reports, etc.) to assess borrower creditworthiness
  • Prepare credit proposals and present recommendations to the lending team
  • Collaborate with Loan Officers to ensure loans meet company credit standards and policy requirements
  • Assist with annual loan reviews and renewals, including collecting and evaluating customer financial information
  • Maintain department tracking logs and prepare required reports
  • Support Credit Department administrative tasks, special projects, and required training
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:


  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field strongly preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of experience in credit analysis or related field (accounting, tax preparation, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and other relevant software
  • Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements preferred
