In this role, you will oversee essential financial operations, including cost accounting, compliance, and financial analysis, while contributing to strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:
• Oversee cost accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to maintain smooth operations.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize accounting software and tools, such as Crystal Reports and Concur, to streamline financial processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Monitor and improve billing functions to optimize revenue recognition.
• Ensure compliance with DCAA regulations and other relevant financial guidelines.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making.
• Train and mentor accounting staff who are newer to the field to enhance team performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or public accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and manufacturing processes
- CPA or CMA preferred (or actively pursuing certification)
- Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools
