Job Title: Project Forecast Administrator
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – Onsite 3 days/week)
Duration: 6-month contract, potential to extend or convert to full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Forecast Administrator to support financial management and forecasting for multiple active projects within a large technology organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret financial trends, and the confidence to proactively engage with project teams to explain variances and recommend actions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, independent, and take full ownership of their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain project financials, including budgeting and forecasting.

  • Collaborate with Technical Product Managers (TPMs) and Project Managers (PMs) to develop project budgets, track variances, and explain changes.

  • Prepare and present regular financial reports highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations.

  • Analyze financial data to determine root causes of shifts in project costs or staffing needs.

  • Support project governance processes, ensuring adherence to methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.

  • Assist with resource allocation, capacity planning, and project quality reviews.

  • Identify process improvements and opportunities for automation to increase efficiency and data accuracy.

  • Maintain and optimize the use of project management tools, especially Planview.

  • Provide operational and administrative PMO support, including templates, policies, and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) preferred but not required.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Proficiency in financial management tools; knowledge of Planview is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain financial changes to various stakeholders.

  • Proactive, independent, and able to take ownership of responsibilities.
