Location: Loch Sheldrake, NY
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Are you detail-oriented and experienced in managing financial records? We’re seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is perfect for someone with strong accounting knowledge and a commitment to accuracy.

Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities

• Process and maintain vendor payment files; reconcile accounts accurately.
• Review and approve purchase orders and requisitions.
• Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and cost analysis.
• Monitor compliance for grants and contracts; conduct audits and draft reports.
• Advise on accounting procedures and implement improvements.
• Maintain ledgers, trial balances, and depreciation schedules.
• Liaise with external agencies during audits and ensure fiscal compliance.

Accounts Payable Clerk Qualifications

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency in applying debit/credit rules across account types.
• Familiarity with governmental accounting and audit standards.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data.
• Ability to prepare clear, accurate reports and statements.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and database systems.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
