Capital Preparatory Schools Summer Boost Program:

We are excited to recruit passionate and dedicated individuals to support our scholars in several aspects of academic and social-emotional enrichment this summer. If you are seeking additional opportunities for professional growth and leadership development over the Summer of 2025, Summer Boost might be for you!


Program Details/FAQ:


Program Dates and Schedule

  • The Summer Boost program is 5.5 weeks long,

    • Required Mandatory PD session before programming begins: Tuesday, June 10th - Thursday, June 12th

    • Summer Boost In Session: Dates June 30th - August 1st

    • Daily Schedule (Instructional Time): Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, except for the final week which runs Monday - Wednesday

  • Note: Illuminators will be offered 2 or 4-week in session work options; if 2 weeks, illuminators will be paired together for continuity. Attendance is mandatory for all PD and In Session Dates.


How many scholars will be participating?

  • Bronx: approximately 84 scholars

  • Harlem: approximately 36 scholars


Compensation:

Is this a paid position? YES. Illuminators may earn up to $10K. *Restrictions apply.

*stipend amount is based on final student enrollment. Additionally, full stipend compensation for staff reflects a commitment to attending all scheduled program days.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Three years of teaching experience (preferred)

  • Experience in analyzing data to drive instruction

  • Commitment to student engagement and student success

  • Bachelor’s degree, Graduate degree preferred;

  • NYS certification preferred, commitment to achieve certification required
