We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Sales to join our team in the Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas metro area. Position Summary:
Establish and lead a new sales team to achieve sales goals and profit potential commensurate with Smith Douglas Homes’ objectives. Provide product and pricing recommendations for new land deals that will create market share and volume opportunity in light of competition within various submarkets.

- Oversee management of Sales and Closing activity
- Recruit community sales team members and Closing Coordinator
- Train on and hold team members accountable to SDH Minimum Performance Standards
- Motivate and inspire team members to be their best
- Work in tandem with VP of Construction, VP of Land and Division President to help establish a Sales & Closing Plan that optimizes Rteam utilization
- Understand and pre-sell into a slot schedule
- Maintain onsite community staffing 7-days per week and assign aggressive yet attainable traffic and sales goals per community
- Leverage company processes, systems and resources to ensure operational excellence, including SMART system, online sales team, OneTalk, BombBomb and many others
- Act as voice of the customer within the Division
- Serve as liaison with in-house, preferred lender joint venture partner, Ridgeland Mortgage on loan programs and loan officer staffing needs
- Foster effective relationships within the real estate brokerage community
- Ensure that competitive information is being regularly collected and used to assist in go-to-market strategies and tactics
- Work with Production, office staff and other management team members to resolve issues, concerns, and questions on behalf of our customers and homeowners with the company objective of high Guild Quality customer satisfaction scores
- Work with Construction and Land management to proactively stay informed of development issues, lot delivery and construction restraints and adjust Sales initiatives accordingly
- Participate actively in regularly scheduled Community Reviews
- Take responsibility for the Sales components of the established SDH Community Start Up and Close Out process
- Stay current with all Product Development Changes (plans, options, etc.)
- Monitor the communities, sales offices, model homes and spec homes for assurance in meeting the Company standards
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education:
- College degree preferred
Experience:
- Previous new home sales management experience.
- Specific training in sales techniques (Shore Consulting sales training is a plus)
- 2+ years of related job experience (first-time homebuyer familiarity is a plus)
- Demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining effective sales team members
- Thorough knowledge of the home building industry
