2nd Shift Packaging Operator I / Material Handler
Location: Central Islip, NY
⏰ Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Full-Time, may vary based on business needs)
Experience: 1 – 15 Years
About the Role
Join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team and play a key role in packaging high-quality products. This hands-on position involves operating automated packaging equipment, ensuring compliance with cGMP and FDA standards, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities

Operate automatic filling, labeling, and sealing equipment.
- Package pharmaceutical products per SOPs and quality standards.
- Perform cleaning of rooms and equipment between batches.
- Document activities in log books accurately and legibly.
- Feed filling equipment, palletize products, and handle materials.
- Segregate waste and return unused materials.
- Reconcile bulk, material, and printed components.
- Follow safety regulations and wear proper PPE.
- Support safety programs and team initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 6+ months in packaging operations (automated environment preferred).
- Knowledge of cGMP, FDA regulations, and SOPs.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (written and verbal).
Physical Requirements
- Stand/walk for up to 8 hours.
- Lift 10 lbs frequently, 25–49 lbs occasionally.
- Bend, twist, push, pull, and reach regularly.
- Work in a noisy environment with PPE.
