Job Title: Intimate Apparel Technical Designer
Location: New York City (In-office 4 days per week, 1 day remote)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Company Overview:
Dana-co, a leading design company specializing in luxury intimate apparel, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intimate Apparel Technical Designer to join our team.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the technical design process from initial style adoption to final garment approval, ensuring the integrity and quality of intimate apparel collections. You will work closely with design, development, and manufacturing teams to ensure garments meet fit, construction, and specification standards.

Job Requirements:
This position requires the candidate to work onsite at least four days per week in our New York City office.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical design role, preferably within the fashion or intimate apparel industry.
  • Strong proficiency with Lectra for pattern adjustments and grading.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and SharePoint.
  • A keen attention to detail with a solid understanding of bra construction and intimate apparel specifications.
  • Experience managing fit samples, garment documentation, and maintaining organized records.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external factories.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with T&A calendars and the garment approval process is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pattern Design & Adjustments: Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate pattern adjustments and grading to meet design specifications.
  • Sample & Garment Review: Review samples and final garments to ensure they meet the required fit, construction, and quality standards.
  • Fittings & Corrections: Lead fittings, document corrections, and ensure accurate adjustments are made to meet design intent.
  • Fit Sample Documentation & Organization: Maintain organized records of all fit samples, specifications, and corrections for streamlined communication and follow-up.
  • Blue Tag & Garment Approval Process: Manage the Blue Tag process to ensure timely approval of garments before moving into production.
  • Schedule and Fit Coordination: Coordinate with the grade team, design team, quality control team, and external factories to ensure the timely completion of garment development milestones.
