General Description:
Byrne is seeking a high performing, driven Financial Analyst to join our finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with exceptional analytical skills, business acumen, and a passion for turning data into strategic insight. This role serves as a financial partner to the Senior Leadership team by providing timely and accurate reporting to various cross-functional stakeholders. The Financial Analyst completes these functions in support of the manufacture of dairy-related products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and relevant reporting and analysis used to drive commercial and operational business decisions.
- Perform detailed variance analysis of results vs various data points (prior year, budget, and forecasts) with a key focus on identifying drivers and supporting cross-functional partners navigate results to drive improvement.
- Analyze complex financial data to identify trends and provide insight for leadership to support strategic decision making.
- Own ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
- Develop and maintain detailed annual budgets and quarterly forecasts by collaborating with company leaders to support the company's goals.
- Continuously improve financial processes, reporting tools, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain and analyze financial results, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Perform complex financial modelling to support capital investment decision-making. Additionally, performing post-mortem analysis of key capital projects.
- Provide general accounting support during month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Responsible for achieving assigned goals in safety, quality, performance, and cost.
- Responsible for complying with GMPs, SOPs, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations.
- Works in a safe manner, reports safety concerns promptly to their leadership team, and takes corrective actions as necessary to ensure a safe environment.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills across various departments, ensuring clear and effective collaboration.
- All other duties assigned by leadership.

- Understand and respond appropriately to basic to complex employee, vendor, and customer inquiries.
- Read, write, and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (Other preferences will be given for special language skills when there is a business need).
- Knowledge of the company's mission, purpose, goals, and your role in achieving each of them.
- Ability to operate equipment as required in the assigned area.
- Satisfactorily complete all company training requirements.
- Ability to interpret company documents and literature and UPC/code information.
Education/Experience:
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ relevant work experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, and/or Finance is required.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and spreadsheet usage.
- Financial analysis experience with the dairy industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of business trends as related to the dairy industry is preferred.
Performance Standards:
- Responsible for reporting to work at scheduled times and communicating tardiness and absences with the assigned Supervisor/Manager after the occurrence.
- Responsible for reporting to work in a condition to work.
- Responsible for being well-groomed and always dressed in business- and position-appropriate attire, including ensuring compliance with GMP dress code standards.
- Comply with performance criteria and standards of conduct as contained in company policy, employment procedures, and responsibilities as described in the company handbook.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Always maintain a safe work environment and immediately report and take appropriate action to correct safety/food safety concerns.
- Responsible for completing all assigned tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Work Schedule:
- Requires morning and afternoon availability with flexibility outside of normal business hours based on company needs.
- Requests to be scheduled off for a specific day require advance notification and approval by the Supervisor/Manager.
- Salaried: Generally scheduled for 40-45 hours; more hours may be required based on the needs of the business.
Environmental Concerns:
- May be subject to exposure to ingredients used in the manufacture of food products, including allergens.
- May be subject to exposure to chemicals involved in the manufacture and sanitation of a food processing facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Support company sustainability initiatives and policies.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies and equipment (up to 20 pounds.)
- Frequent use of computers and other office equipment.
- Ability to move around the office to perform various tasks.
