Job Summary
We are a small real estate company seeking a talented Bookkeeper/Financial Professional to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with all team members and vendors to maintain accurate financial records and timely payment of all charges. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and completing tax forms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.
Responsibilities
- Managing accounts payable using related industry accounting software and other programs
- Handling accounts payable
- Analyzing workflow processes
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Processing invoices for payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
- Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems. Knowledge of and experience with industry specific software plataforms is considerable a benefit.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Yardi, Rent Manager and Avidxchange experience is a plus
