Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Accounts Receivable Operations Specialist I (Tier II) to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will handle financial and accounting tasks with moderate complexity, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial transactions and reports. Based in Rochester, New York, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to the organization’s operational excellence while developing your technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
• Process and code financial data into the system to ensure sub-ledger accuracy and proper general ledger integration.
• Conduct research and reconcile financial information to maintain compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Generate detailed reports for supervisors and specialists to verify data accuracy and adherence to company policies, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Participate in monthly team and departmental meetings to discuss updates, share insights, and support ongoing development.
• Review and confirm the consistency of financial transactions to ensure alignment with established controls and policies.
• Provide training to new team members and cross-train existing employees on operational procedures to maintain team efficiency.
• Draft and evaluate departmental procedures, suggesting updates to improve accuracy and relevance.
• Analyze and resolve ad hoc financial issues, ensuring thorough research and quality outcomes.
• Monitor data feeds between financial systems to safeguard the integrity of accounting processes and records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold high standards of quality and compliance across accounts receivable functions.• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and general ledger systems.
• Experience with financial data reconciliation and analysis.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accounting policies.
• Proficiency in using financial systems and tools for accurate data entry and reporting.
• Ability to train and mentor team members effectively.
