SYSTEC101 LLC is seeking a reliable and skilled Cabling & POS Installation Technician to support structured cabling and point-of-sale (POS) deployment projects. Most work will be performed after business hours, including evenings, nights, and occasional weekends, to minimize disruption to customer operations.
This role involves installing and upgrading network cabling infrastructure and POS systems in commercial, retail, and enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber cabling
- Install and upgrade POS systems (terminals, peripherals, connectivity)
- Deploy wireless access points and network drops
- Label and document cable runs
- Perform cable testing and certification
- Mount network equipment (patch panels, switches, racks)
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Follow project scope, drawings, and site requirements
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Communicate progress with project managers
Work Schedule
- Majority of projects occur after business hours
- Evening and overnight shifts common
- Weekend availability required
- Occasional daytime prep or coordination meetings
This position is ideal for technicians who prefer flexible schedules and are comfortable working independently during non-business hours.
