Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $45,000 – $65,000 per year + Bonus/Incentive (Based on Experience)

We’re seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Counter Sales/Customer Service Representative to support our growing base of professional contractors and tradespeople. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-performing team at a respected HVAC, plumbing, and hydronics wholesale supplier in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in, phone, and email customers with product selection, order placement, and technical support

• Provide accurate quotes, pricing, and inventory information for HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic supplies

• Process sales orders, returns, and exchanges efficiently using ERP/POS systems

• Maintain organized and stocked counter area with up-to-date product displays

• Build strong relationships with contractors, installers, and mechanical professionals

• Work closely with outside sales reps, warehouse staff, and vendors to fulfill orders and resolve issues

• Stay current on product knowledge, new technologies, and industry trends

• Support inventory management, cycle counts, and general branch operations as needed

✅ Qualifications:

• 2+ years of counter sales, inside sales, or customer service experience in the HVAC, plumbing, or industrial supply industry

• Familiarity with hydronic systems, HVAC equipment, and plumbing parts is highly preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic computer proficiency and experience with POS or ERP systems

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and provide outstanding customer service

• High school diploma or equivalent required
