Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join our dynamic team in the Health, Wellness, and Fitness industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Python development, with a strong focus on creating and maintaining Web APIs. This role requires expertise in AWS infrastructure, Redis caching, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL. The successful applicant will also be familiar with healthcare data standards including HL7, DICOM, or FHIR, as our projects directly involve handling and processing sensitive medical information. As a Senior Developer, you will play a crucial role in architecting scalable and efficient solutions that enhance our healthcare applications. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure that our software meets regulatory compliance and performance requirements. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior developers and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering team. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure Web APIs using Python.
Implement and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS to support application deployment and operations.
Utilize Redis for caching solutions to optimize API response times and improve performance.
Develop and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as HL7, DICOM, or FHIR in all software development processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Conduct code reviews and participate in Agile development processes to ensure quality and timely delivery of software.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining Web APIs.
Hands-on experience with AWS services and architecture best practices.
Solid understanding of Redis and its application in web development.
Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
Familiarity with healthcare standards HL7, DICOM, or FHIR and their application in software design.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
