The IT Asset Manager is responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and disposal. This role ensures compliance with licensing agreements and optimizes asset utilization.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software inventory.
- Track asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for asset purchasing and budgeting.
- Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of IT assets.
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
- Generate reports on asset utilization, depreciation, and cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT asset management or IT operations.
- Familiarity with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, SCCM).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and asset lifecycle management.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager), or CHAMP are advantageous.
