Job Title: Senior Accountant
Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)
Salary Range: $90,000 – $105,000

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing and collaborative finance team in a newly created position. This role is perfect for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and want to make a direct impact on accounting operations and financial reporting.
This position offers the best of both worlds: 50% focused on general accounting—including month-end close and reconciliations—and 50% on financial reporting, analysis, and audit support. The role is hybrid, with three days required in-office each week. You’ll be working under a highly supportive and experienced manager who values professional growth and team collaboration.
Candidates with a blend of public and private accounting experience or big company private are encouraged to apply. Strong public accountants looking to make the move into corporate are also welcomed.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end and quarter-end close processes.

Conduct detailed general ledger reviews, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP.

Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances independently.

Perform variance analyses and explain key drivers, including comparisons to prior periods and budgets.

Collaborate with teams across the organization—Accounts Payable, Payroll, FP&A, and Operations—to gather data and ensure accurate closing entries.

Assist in developing and implementing best practices that streamline accounting processes and increase efficiency.

Support interim and annual external audits by preparing documentation and answering auditor inquiries.

Prepare financial statement footnotes and other deliverables for internal and external reporting.

Help document internal controls and accounting processes as the company continues to grow and scale.

Participate in special projects including system implementations, automation initiatives, and ad hoc financial analysis.
Qualifications
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
-
3–5 years of relevant experience (public accounting or a mix of public/private preferred)

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and large data set analysis

Experience preparing reconciliations, financial schedules, and variance analyses

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

High attention to detail with the ability to understand the broader financial impact

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
