Location: Inpatient Facility - Saranac Lake, NY

Position: Full-time Accounts Payable Specialist

Shift/schedule: Monday-Friday / 8:00a-4:30p

Pay Range: $15.75/hour to $23.00/hour

Position Summary: Responsible for day-to-day accounts payable and properly recording necessary transactions into the general ledger.

Education and Training:Associates degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications and Requirements:Two to three years experience in applicable field, working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Essential Duties:

1. Accounts Payable oversight:
   1. Enter all invoice processing slips for the agency into the financial system to disburse payments to vendors.
   2. Assists others across the Agency with coding transactions appropriately within the general ledger.
   3. Ensure invoice processing slips are properly executed.
2. Prepares weekly cash requirements for review by the Senior Director of Finance to help ensure timely payments to vendors.
3. Prepares end of year 1099 forms.
4. Produces ad hoc reports and analyses to present answers to financial questions from management.
5. Prepares schedules necessary to complete the annual audit and assists auditors during this process.
6. Maintain the petty cash account used by the agency.
7. Other duties as assigned.
