Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist in Newburgh, NY! This role is in person / onsite. Please review the details below and apply with an updated resume.
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, with flexibility based on department needs
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
· Process accounts payable on a bi-weekly basis
· Ensure all payables are posted by the 15th of each month
· Clear out “Not Specified” expenses on Profit & Loss (P&L) by class statement each month
· Scan all A/P documents into QuickBooks
· Reconcile AP Aging Summary
· Analyze invoices and expenses for trends and cost saving opportunities
· Maintain Accrued Expense Schedules
· Assist with payroll functions
· Maintain ADP Database (Independent Home Care)
· Primary contact for ID assignments
· Primary contact for employees W2 and paystub requests
· Edit department procedure manual in bullet point fashion, as needed
· Cross training with Assistant Controller
· Assist with special projects, as needed
Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
· AS in Accounting preferred, or 4 years of experience in accounting
· Prior accounting, billing, and collections experience, preferred.
· Prior non-profit (NPO) experience, preferred.
· Experienced and familiar with Microsoft 365.
· Experienced and familiar with Quickbooks On-line
· Knowledge of grant processes and practices a plus
· Must be well organized and detailed oriented.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
