Job Title: Controller (Revenue and Operations)
Location: New York (must be willing to work out of our NY studio office 2-3 days out of the week)
Reports to: President & CEO
Annual Salary Range: $145,000.00-$175,000.00 (based on experience and credentials)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Controller to oversee financial planning, revenue integrity, and operational efficiencies—specifically across our Manufacturing Operations. This executive-level position will play a critical role in optimizing revenue reporting, managing operational budgets, and partnering with leadership to improve processes that drive business performance.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and able to travel to our NY and CA studios to work closely with local teams. A key responsibility will include training studio leadership on financials and helping to implement a performance-based incentive program.

She also launched the Online Studio: the all-in-one virtual platform for clients around the world to experience the Tracy Anderson Method. With members in over 50 countries, the Online Studio releases new classes for 3 fitness levels every single week—so virtual members can train in lockstep with our in-person clients—in addition to TA LIVE: real-time classes streamed live from our studios across the globe for members to join. The Online Studio also hosts elective content, chef-curated menus, the latest issues of Tracy Anderson Magazine, and so much more.
In recent years, she has revolutionized the fitness industry with several innovations starting with MYMODE: a never-before-seen apparatus that expands and mutates into diverse forms. MYMODE thousands of movement algorithms with a first-of-its-kind approach to sustainability in the workout space. As a complement to the higher intensity workouts, Tracy developed HeartStone: a moving meditation program that fuses grounding, slow movement, and sound healing for a deeply tranquil practice. Most recently, she released the Growth Rings Collection: a brand new take on strength-training that reimagines the practice of lifting weights in ways that nurture and support the body through every stage in life.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Management & Reporting
- Lead all revenue-related accounting activities in compliance with applicable standards.
- Establish and maintain systems for accurate revenue recognition, billing, and collections.
- Partner with operations and leadership to ensure proper revenue treatment and reporting across contracts.
- Monitor and report on key revenue KPIs (e.g., AR turnover, DSO, customer lifetime value).
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close and reporting cycles.
- Conduct individual financial reviews for each studio, with a focus on YOY goals and growth tracking.
- Partner with the CEO on revenue forecasting, cost control, and strategic budget planning.
Operational Finance – Focus on Manufacturing Operations
- Oversee financial performance across all manufacturing operations and studio locations.
- Align financial strategy with operational execution across facilities and production units.
- Identify and lead cost-saving initiatives, margin improvement strategies, and process enhancements.
- Implement scalable financial controls and systems to drive efficiency in manufacturing processes.
- Track and manage inventory levels in coordination with manufacturing partners and vendors to ensure accurate reporting, cost alignment, and timely production.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across all operations.
- Manage vendor relationships, control costs, and establish an internal approval process for purchasing.
- Facilitate monthly P&L reviews with the management team with an emphasis on revenue goals and operational results.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop accounting and revenue operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic initiatives and business development opportunities.
- Serve as a financial advisor and partner to executive leadership and studio managers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing, SaaS, e-commerce, or other revenue-centric industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) and operational finance best practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Paylocity or similar HRIS tools is a plus.
