Job DescriptionPayroll and Benefits Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist with 4 years of experience in payroll. This is a 6-month Contract opportunity, located in New Hyde Park, New York.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contract staff.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Manage wage garnishments, deductions, and adjustments.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Finance for payroll funding and reporting.
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
- Coordinate open enrollment and benefits orientation for new hires.
- Liaise with benefits providers and brokers to resolve issues and ensure service quality.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, and COBRA.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare and file required reports such as W-2s, 1095-Cs, and other payroll-related documentation.
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation.

Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in similar payroll/benefits position
Worksite: Onsite
Employment Type: Temp - 6 months
Salary: $30-38/hr
Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
