Circular Services is a leading developer and operator of circular economy infrastructure and services in the United States. With over 20 operating locations, Circular Services provides holistic materials management services to municipalities and businesses across the country, keeping valuable materials in circulation and minimizing the cost and environmental impact of landfills. The company services municipal contracts with some of the largest and fastest growing cities in the U.S. including New York City, New York; Austin, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; and Phoenix, Arizona.
About the Role:
The Senior Associate/Director, Finance is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the financial health of Circular Services, including, but not limited to, equity and debt financing, quarterly financial reporting, budgeting & long-term financial planning, and evaluation of internal investment and capital deployment opportunities.
The Senior Associate/Director will work closely with the Circular Services leadership team in New York City, and with leadership across the organization’s operations in New York, Florida, Texas and the Midwest. This is a key role that will have visibility and responsibilities across Circular Services, a fast-growing business. Significant opportunities for advancement and leadership.
Superior financial modeling skills, as well as written and oral communication skills are a must. More specific attributes of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Analysis of internal investment and capital deployment opportunities, including financial modeling, returns analysis, and preparation of investment committee memos
- Preparation of quarterly performance analysis and financial reporting for internal presentation, as well as investor communications
- Manage and run annual budget process
- Support capital formation and third party financing efforts
- Support annual audit process
- Definition and evaluation of KPIs for various workflows to ensure healthy growth of the business
- Hybrid work schedule; 2 days expected in office weekly
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related field; MBA a plus
- Demonstrated excellence and high achievement in educational and professional background
- 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or similar field
- Strong financial modeling, accounting, and corporate finance skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness
- Organizational IQ and EQ including understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
