Job Summary: The Preschool Administrative Specialist is responsible for working collaboratively with the Preschool Manager and Program Director to ensure all children receiving Special Education services through our PreschoolDepartment receive high quality services which meet all State, County and Federal expectations. This individual must holdNY State Teaching certification, eitherStudent with disabilities All Grades, Students with Disabilities Birth - 2 or PermanentSpecial Education OR hold theNY StateLMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance responsibilities including, but not limited to, internal case audits, parent surveys and review of concerns regarding cases.
- Working closely with Special Education supervisors in the field to ensure all paperwork is processed in a timely manner.
- Conduct data entry responsibilities as needed
- Review and analyze available reports regarding the consistent provision of services and report regularly to the PreschoolManager and Program Director
- Conduct regular monitoring of therapist productivity to ensure approved services are provided consistently and communicate any identified concerns to the appropriate PreschoolManager or Case Manager.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise throughout the life of a case.
- Conduct training and/or workshops for clinical team as needed
- Remain current and ensure all cases meet state and county regulations
- Provide any needed coverage or assistance to the PreschoolDepartment as needed
- Attend Preschoolmeetings as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Director
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Individuals must hold valid NY State Teaching certification, eitherStudent with disabilities All Grades, Students with Disabilities Birth - 2 or Permanent Special Education OR hold theNY StateLMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) to ensure clinical competence.
- Successful experience working in a high-volume work environment where organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
Qualifications and other requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Must have Strong interpersonal communication-verbal and written
- Takes initiative and can make decisions independently
- Strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to interact with a broad spectrum of people.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with excellent work ethic.

Physical Requirements of the Role (As applicable):
Must be able to travel to and from assigned work events including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
Occasionally ascends/descends stairs going to, while at, or leaving work location or facilities traveled to for work events.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time up to 90% of the workday working on a computer/electronic device.
The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
