Gracious Thyme is a high-end boutique catering company based in Westchester/NYC, serving the tri-state area, and beyond. We specialize in refined, seasonal menus and beautifully executed events. Known for our personal approach and creative, elegant food, we craft memorable experiences for weddings, private clients, and corporate gatherings.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced, driven, and creative Sous Chef to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role with significant opportunity for growth and advancement as we expand. The Sous Chef will work directly with our Executive Chef, who is based remotely, to help lead culinary operations on-site. You’ll be involved in prep, production, menu execution, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and uphold high culinary standards in all aspects of production
- Lead kitchen staff during prep and event service
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and execution
- Ensure proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization
- Maintain quality and consistency across all events
- Represent Gracious Thyme with professionalism and creativity
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5 years of professional kitchen experience, including leadership roles
- Strong skills in organization, communication, and multitasking
- Creative approach to plating and presentation
- A refined palate and passion for creative, ingredient-driven cuisine.
- Experience with catering or event-based service is a plus
- Bilingual a plus

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00 - $80,000.00)
