Overview
We are looking for a motivated individual with leadership skills to join our company as a Junior Project Manager/Estimator. In this role, you work with the primary project manager and lead estimator to ensure the completion of company projects in an array of areas. You may be assigned to coordinate administrative tasks, inventory resources, and send staff deadline reminders, prepare initial cost estimates for the required supplies and services, create pricing schedules, develop bid proposals and assess the technical aspects of the project. We are looking for a candidate who can be trusted to effectively coordinate the efforts of a project team with limited supervision and make sure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- · Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other workers in the same project
- · Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- · Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
- · Creating labor estimates for any project
- · Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
- · Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis
- · Presenting prepared estimates to management
- · Compiling and recording actual costs
- · Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise
- · Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
- · Report project progress and budget to client
- · Explain contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner
- Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments
- · Review contracts, drawings, schematics, and specifications to determine scope of work and requirements
- Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors
- · Order and manage material lists and scopes of work for field staff
- · Supervise and monitor project budgets and costs
- · Work on multiple projects

- · Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred

- · Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations
- · Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
- · Working knowledge of electrical installations
- · Deadline and detail oriented
- · Construction experience helpful
