LOCATION: New York
REPORTS TO: Managing Director, NYFF
TERM: Full Time, Seasonal (13 weeks): 7/21/2025- 10/17/2025
RATE: $1,300/Week
JOB OVERVIEW
The Artist Services Manager oversees the Artist Services Team, which consists of coordinators, associates, and volunteers. The Manager is responsible for managing the departmental budget, which includes airline miles and hotel nights, as well as all associated reporting on their deployment. The manager represents the department at key festival meetings and is tasked with working cross-departmentally to ensure that NYFF filmmakers and film teams have a smooth experience from the first moment of engagement through to their last screening.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Manages the Artist Services Team, including Coordinators and Associates;

Guides the work of all members of the AST, from Coordinators to volunteers, ensuring that their work meets Festival standards;

Oversees the scheduling of artist services personnel throughout the production of the New York Film Festival

Assists with the recruitment of Artist Services Associates;

Oversees the Artist Services Budget, ensuring that final expenses come in on or under budget and that all necessary documentation (receipts, invoices, etc) are submitted at the conclusion of the festival;

Oversight of AST volunteer recruitment, training, and top level management;

Works cross-departmentally with FLC departments to facilitate various asks to and from NYFF Programming, Publicity, etc;

Sources additional travel support;

Books interpreters for in person appearances as needed;

Represents the department at key stakeholder meetings, providing updates are required;

Represents the interests of the festival and festival leadership in conversations with filmmakers, distributors, and participating artists;

Sends Film Information Form to film teams and ensures their completion;

Oversees data entry by team into the festival database, ensures it is updated in real time with critical information, and communicates on the ground updates during the Festival through appropriate channels;

Provides a comprehensive wrap report at the conclusion of the festival.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

3-5 years relevant experience working in Festival Operations in either Artist Management, Programming Support, or Event Production;

Working knowledge of film industry and film festivals;

Experience supervising the work of others, particularly in a festival context;

Ability to maintain focus and calm under pressure;

Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion;

Energy, stamina, and patience

Availability to work onsite and be on call throughout the festival;

Comfortable working in Google Suites and Excel.
