Job DescriptionMark Tower from Robert Half is partnering with an established Not-for-Profit in Lackawanna, NY that is looking to add an HR Generalist to their team. Starting salary is $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience, and this is newly created position designed to support the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage the full talent acquisition process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and pre-employment screenings Collaborate with HR Director to develop and maintain job descriptions and support performance management, compensation, training, and onboarding/offboarding activities Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and safe environment requirements by maintaining records, managing documentation, and recommending policy updates Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, supervisors, and applicants regarding HR inquiries and issues Coordinate administrative HR functions such as scheduling interviews and meetings, preparing documents and correspondence, and processing invoices Organizes and execute employee events and recognition initiatives while supporting other HR projects and meeting critical deadlines as assignedHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred SHRM and/or HRCI detail oriented certification preferred 3–5 years of progressive human resources experience, with a focus on staffing and benefits required Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with 3–5 years of experience 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with HRIS systems required
