We’re on the hunt for our next Director of PACE. As the Workforce Program leader for PACE, this detail-oriented individual will oversee site operations, management and the team. As a key member of the Mission leadership team, this role requires a versatile individual with strong leadership, operational, and project management capabilities.
The Awesome Things You’ll Do
- Manage all aspects of the HRA-funded programs, including hiring and managing staff, overseeing operations, overseeing participant recruitment, assuring achievement of program goals, and complying with all funder requirements.
- Provide strategic leadership around service provision to ensure participants have access to a robust array of options as they pursue their goals around employment, economic independence, and general wellbeing.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, audit, and other funder requirements, ensuring all program operations align with best practices.
- Stay current with program specific program requirements related to services, education and training, and ensure that any adjustments that are made to approach are aligned with those requirements.
- Use labor market information to align the programs to opportunities in the job market and to economic trends.
- Support and promote professional development for all staff.
- At the direction of the Senior Vice President of Workforce Development and in coordination with Goodwill leadership, take on leadership of new programs, initiatives, and partnerships.
- Play an active role in brainstorming and researching innovative program approaches that could expand the effectiveness and reach of Goodwill services or bringing new resources to the table to serve existing program participants.
- Contribute to assessment of grant opportunities to determine feasibility and alignment to Goodwill’s core services.
- Develop operating models and budgets in partnership with the VP for Program Innovation and the Finance team for new initiatives under consideration.
- Manage program operations for any grants assigned to your management, including achievement of performance goals and compliance with all funder requirements.
- Develop new and innovative program models: sector focused, population specifics, and delivery (i.e.: bridge, learn and earn, etc.)
- Secure funding for programs with government, foundations, and private dollars by clearly sharing the impacts to our clients and or the specific needs of the communities we serve
- Oversee, manage, and direct all programs and operations within the Division.
- Monitor programs to assure contract compliance and funding source goals and objectives
- Supervise staff, assure appropriate staff conduct, and execution of duties, resolve personnel issues, and assure regular staff performance reviews and evaluations
- Develop and strengthen leadership skills in staff through trainings both internal and external, one on one supervision and delegation
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory accreditation entities
- Prepare internal and external reports to use data as decision making tool, inform funders and create new program models.
- Participate in all meetings with funders regarding workforce development programs.
- Review and vet RFPs for new programs based on agency mission and funding availability. Design new programs, prepare proposals and assist in negotiating contracts
- Maintain and cultivate new relationships with funding sources for continued success and to advocate for services and additional funding
- Foster and promote the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives
- Direct community relations, marketing, and development activities
- Develop partnerships with community-based organizations, educational institutions, employers, municipal, county, and state institutions
- Provide fiscal oversight to division including development of budgets and monitoring on an on-going basis.
- Review and monitor monthly financial reports and adjust as needed
Our Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience managing large scale Workforce Development programs
- Able to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be flexible and able to respond to the changing needs of the program.
- Ability to travel within the region to cultivate relationships with training and education providers.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.
- Must be able to interface effectively and collegially with staff at all levels.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including active and reflective listening, motivational interviewing, authentic communication, and conflict resolution
- Highly effective problem-solving and follow up skills
- Ability to focus deadlines and details
- Excellent networking skills
