We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inventory Control Coordinator to join our Housewares Department. Working with our inventory and returns, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management system. You will work closely with our team to receive and process deliveries, organize and store items, and manage returns.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and sign for deliveries, ensuring the accuracy of delivered items.
- Inspect deliveries to ensure they match the order and invoice criteria.
- Compare purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
- Update inventory with received items and process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
- Maintain meticulous records of orders, delivery details, etc.
- Organize and store received items in the appropriate areas.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager, including filling in on the sales floor.
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience, with a good understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
