We are a growing financial planning firm committed to delivering exceptional, personalized planning experiences for our clients. Our team values expertise, accuracy, and a collaborative, client-focused approach.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate Financial Planner to support our senior advisors in developing high-quality financial plans and related deliverables. This role is ideal for a financial planning professional looking to apply technical expertise in a meaningful way, with opportunity to grow into an advisor position for the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities

Financial Plan Construction & Development

  • Meet with senior advisors to define financial planning scope and direction.
  • Gather and enter client data into eMoney financial planning software.
  • Develop comprehensive first drafts of holistic financial plans, including retirement projections, cash-flow analysis, investment portfolio evaluations, tax and estate planning considerations, and insurance/risk management strategies.
  • Translate advisor notes and meeting discussions into clear, well-written plan narratives.
  • Ensure all plan deliverables are accurate, thorough, and client-ready.

Operational Support & Documentation

  • Communicate directly with clients to collect required information for upcoming meetings.
  • Prepare materials for client meetings, reviews, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain detailed records within Redtail CRM.
  • Deliver finalized materials to senior advisors and clients post-meeting.

Quality Assurance

  • Review planning outputs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date client documentation.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of paraplanning or financial planning experience. Previous client-facing experience a plus, particularly for candidates interested in future advisory roles.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of holistic financial planning concepts—retirement planning, investments, tax, estate planning, and risk management. CFP® certification or active progress toward CFP® designation preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong command of Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Proficiency with eMoney (or similar financial planning platforms).
    • Experience with CRM systems (Redtail preferred).
    • Familiarity with Holistiplan or tax planning principles preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional writing and grammar skills; ability to explain complex financial topics clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry, calculations, and written deliverables.
  • Work Style: Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.

Position Details

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Location: 100% in-person.
  • Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience. Base compensation typically ranges from $66,500–$80,000, depending on experience and credentials. Total compensation includes bonus potential, health insurance subsidy, employer HSA contribution, & 401(k).
  • Growth Opportunity: Significant potential to expand responsibilities and progress toward an advisory role based on the successful applicants’ exemplary performance and personal career ambitions.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to engage in meaningful, high-quality planning work.
  • Direct collaboration with and mentorship from senior advisors.
  • Clear pathways for professional development and potential client-facing responsibilities.
  • A supportive environment that values expertise, precision, and professional growth.
