Column Technical Services is seeking a strategic Financial Applications Specialist II with expertise in Workday and time & attendance systems to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to production in Manhattan, NY. Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing high-volume payroll operations and managing related project deliverables.

- Maintaining accuracy and integrity across all internal and external payroll system interfaces.

- Ensuring full compliance with customer requirements and relevant statutory and regulatory standards.

- Supporting business initiatives with financial analysis, clear documentation, and comprehensive training.

- Creating and maintaining process documentation while mentoring junior team members.

- Collaborating with third-party providers and cross-functional internal teams to design integration strategies and document technical solutions.

Key Qualifications

- Minimum of 4 to 7 years' experience in payroll and/or time & attendance, ideally within a healthcare or non-profit environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

- Demonstrated expertise in Workday Payroll configuration and reporting.

- Familiarity with Symplr Workforce Management or comparable Time & Attendance systems such as Kronos.

- Proven track record in project/program management within a healthcare setting.

- Ability to gain deep knowledge of operational workflows and leverage system capabilities for optimal results.

- Comfortable navigating across multiple applications and databases.

- Quick learner who stays current on developments in payroll technologies and ERP systems.

- Embraces emerging technologies and implements new HR policies through system improvements.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex information.

- Strong interpersonal skills with a history of building trusted relationships across senior leadership and peers.

- Proven ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders effectively.

- Takes initiative to challenge established norms and drive change toward process efficiency and business transformation.
