Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax planning services for our family office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in private wealth banking and a deep understanding of tax strategies involving estate planning, gift tax, and trust tax. This role is critical in providing strategic advice and solutions to our clients, ensuring compliance and optimizing their financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage personal tax planning services for our family office.
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies that align with the client's financial goals.
- Advise clients on estate planning, gift tax, trust tax, and other related issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including family offices and private wealth management teams, to provide cohesive advice.
- Conduct financial modeling to assess the impact of various tax strategies and scenarios.
- Stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimal planning.
- Prepare and review tax returns and associated documentation for complex tax situations.
- Train and mentor junior staff on tax planning and compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation is required; CFP or equivalent designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in personal tax planning, with a focus on high net worth clients.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations including GST taxation.
- Experience in financial modeling and analysis.
- Proven ability to develop relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
