Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Payroll Coordinator to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple states. This role requires hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, particularly for both tipped and non-tipped employees. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of payroll best practices, compliance standards, and multi-state payroll regulations—especially within the hospitality or restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate calculation of hours, tips, taxes, deductions, and benefits
  • Maintain payroll records and employee compensation data in the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now)
  • Resolve discrepancies related to payroll, timekeeping, and tax issues in collaboration with HR and management
  • Assist in preparation and submission of payroll-related reports to management and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws—including tip credit regulations and wage reporting requirements
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate payroll documentation
  • Safeguard sensitive employee information and uphold strict confidentiality standards

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with ADP Workforce Now Payroll Processing is a plus.
  • Prior experience processing payroll for tipped and non-tipped employees is essential
  • Hospitality or restaurant industry experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with multi-state payroll is a significant plus
  • Strong knowledge of tip credit regulations and payroll tax compliance
  • Intermediate Excel skills with a keen eye for accuracy in data entry and reporting
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems; proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or comparable applications is critical
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required
