Position Description

After the implementation of NWSL's groundbreaking CBA in 2025, the NWSL Club Support Program focuses on the next phase of elevating NWSL's Sporting & Competition departments by providing strategic support to Clubs as they work towards improved football operations and competition strategies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the NWSL Club Support and Sporting departments in creating and managing working groups, committees, town halls, offsites; and managing preparation for all communications and meetings with working groups and Team sporting staff.
  • Project manage initiatives for the NWSL Club Support and Sporting departments, including deadlines, schedules, tasks lists, deliverables and following up with necessary internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Ensure all communications across League departments, Teams, within individual Team staff and external partners is consistent, aligned and effective.
  • Lead the preparation and distribution of materials necessary for all stakeholder audiences across League leadership, Team sporting executives and staff, working groups and committees.
  • Lead vendor contract negotiations and manage implementation timelines; serve as primary liaison between Club Support / Sporting and vendors.
  • Monitor changes to FIFA RSTP and CONCACAF regulations; ensuring timely enforcement and integration into League operations and communications to League leadership and stakeholders.
  • Create briefing decks to ensure NWSL leadership have necessary clarity and updates on strategy and plans; provide regular updates, coordinate deliverables and drive accountability.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination any new Team sporting staff onboarding process.
  • Work closely with the Legal and Sporting departments to enforce Sporting Minimum Standards.
  • Lead vendor contract negotiations and manage implementation timelines; serve as primary liaison between Club Support / Sporting and vendors.
  • Monitor changes to FIFA RSTP and CONCACAF regulations; ensuring timely enforcement and integration into League operations and communications to League leadership and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in project management or consulting
  • Deep knowledge of soccer and the NWSL
  • Proven ability to clearly communicate

  • Disciplined approach to managing multiple projects but maintain the necessary flexibility to adapt when adjustments are required
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated and handle ambiguity
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience using the Google suite
  • Instills trust, confidence and credibility in process and decision-making by exhibiting consistent and methodical approaches to workflow, execute strategies to meet business goals, display strong communication skills across the organization and various departments
  • Exhibit the skills to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to increase organizational effectiveness by facilitating discussion, soliciting input from diverse perspectives, and making recommendations with a clear focus on being able to explain the reasoning

Salary: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00

NWSL observes a hybrid work schedule of three working days in the physical office and two remote working days.

NWSL salaries are contingent upon candidates' qualifications, functional business needs, and market financials.
