Role Overview
The Director of Brand Marketing will own the overarching brand strategy and creative storytelling for Bask & Lather, shaping how our brand shows up across digital, retail, and experiential platforms. This leader will translate consumer and cultural insights into 360 campaigns that drive awareness, affinity, and conversionbridging creative excellence with commercial performance.
This role requires a visionary marketer who can build high-performing teams, unify brand and business goals, and position Bask & Lather as a category-defining brand in beauty and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Leadership & Strategy
- Lead development of brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity to ensure consistency and resonance across channels
- Translate consumer insights and trends into brand strategies that drive growth, relevance, and differentiation
- Oversee brand calendar planning, ensuring full alignment with marketing, retention, and e-commerce priorities
- Partner with Product Development to inform innovation strategy and go-to-market storytelling
Integrated Marketing & Campaigns
- Lead creative concepting and execution of 360 brand campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media
- Oversee influencer, PR, and social media strategies that amplify brand storytelling and drive measurable ROI
- Ensure each product launch and activation ladders up to core brand pillars and values
- Partner with retail and digital teams to ensure cohesive brand storytelling across DTC, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and retail partners
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage and mentor a growing team of brand marketing, creative, and social media professionals
- Build scalable processes for creative development, campaign approvals, and performance tracking
- Collaborate closely with Operations, E-commerce, Retention, and Product teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution
- Drive accountability through clear KPIs tied to brand awareness, engagement, and sales performance
Analytics & Performance
- Establish benchmarks and reporting frameworks to measure campaign impact and brand health
- Leverage analytics and consumer insights to refine creative strategy and media optimization
- Drive continuous improvement through testing, innovation, and trend monitoring
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading integrated brand marketing within beauty, wellness, or CPG industries
- Proven success leading 360 brand campaigns across social, PR, influencer, and experiential channels
- Deep understanding of multicultural consumers and textured haircare landscape
- Experience managing large cross-functional teams and external agencies
- Track record of driving measurable growth in awareness, engagement, and revenue
- Strong creative judgment, storytelling instincts, and strategic agility
- Start up, high growth company experience preferred
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities
