Job DescriptionHR Director
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an HR Director with 6 or more years of experience in a similar role. This is a great Direct Hire opportunity within the retail space, located in Plainview, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment strategies for store-level and management positions.
- Partner with department managers to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
- Manage onboarding and orientation processes.
- Serve as a key resource for resolving employee concerns and conflicts.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and teamwork.
- Conduct investigations and ensure fair disciplinary procedures.
- Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing employee development.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., EEO, FMLA, OSHA).
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures.
- Lead audits and ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping.
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Collaborate with finance to manage payroll and compensation structures.
- Oversee performance review processes and support managers in coaching and feedback.
- Identify and address performance issues proactively.
- Align HR initiatives with business goals and store operations.
- Lead HR team members and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Monitor HR metrics and report on workforce trends.
Qualifications:
- Proficient with Excel and HRIS
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in an HR management role

Salary: $110-120k/yr
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
