Job DescriptionHR Director
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an HR Director with 6 or more years of experience in a similar role. This is a great Direct Hire opportunity within the retail space, located in Plainview, NY.
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recruitment strategies for store-level and management positions.
  • Partner with department managers to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Serve as a key resource for resolving employee concerns and conflicts.
  • Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and teamwork.
  • Conduct investigations and ensure fair disciplinary procedures.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing employee development.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., EEO, FMLA, OSHA).
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Lead audits and ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Collaborate with finance to manage payroll and compensation structures.
  • Oversee performance review processes and support managers in coaching and feedback.
  • Identify and address performance issues proactively.
  • Align HR initiatives with business goals and store operations.
  • Lead HR team members and provide guidance and mentorship.
  • Monitor HR metrics and report on workforce trends.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Excel and HRIS

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in an HR management role

Employment Type: Direct Hire
Work Site: On- Site
Salary: $110-120k/yr


Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
