Job Title: Supply Planner
Pay rate:$46.00/hr on W2
Location: 12 Harbour Park Drive, Port Washington, NY
Work Model: Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Department: North America Wholesale Division
Position Summary
The Demand Planner plays a key role in contributing to the profit and growth of the North America Wholesale division by managing and creating accurate forecasts for supply planning. This position is responsible for building demand plans at the customer, brand, and SKU level using both quantitative and qualitative inputs. It supports sound decision-making through data analysis and close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Customer Service, Corporate Planning, and Global Supply Chain.
The ultimate goal is to ensure service levels and inventory efficiency that align with business expectations and market demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customer, brand, and SKU-level demand plans for use in supply and production planning.
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and key demand drivers to improve forecast accuracy.
- Provide leadership with analytical insights and forecast overviews at customer and brand levels.
- Generate and manage reports on KPIs, including forecast accuracy, fill rate, and backorder status.
- Monitor order tracking and support communication with Sales and Customers regarding fulfillment and recovery plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Brand, Product, Finance, and Global Supply Chain teams to align on forecast expectations.
- Lead regular forecast review meetings with Sales, Product, and Brand teams.
- Balance supply plans with financial goals and make informed recommendations on procurement and production volumes.
- Train, support, and assess the development of one indirect report; contribute to the development of team training programs.
- Assist with organizing and facilitating training workshops for new and existing demand planners.
- Develop narratives, presentations, and reports (Excel, PowerPoint) for leadership communication.
- Understand and communicate customer performance related to both replenishment and NPI (New Product Introduction) business.
- Build strong understanding of the company’s end-to-end supply chain models to inform stakeholder discussions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar demand planning or forecasting role
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables)
- Proficiency in SAP and experience with enterprise/legacy systems
- Skilled in PowerPoint for executive-level presentations
- Experience using planning software and extracting/reporting from databases
- Strong communication, organizational, and influence skills
- Agile mindset; adaptable to a fast-paced, data-driven environment
- Knowledge of fashion sales cycles and buying practices
- Proven experience in leading meetings and cross-functional discussions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the fashion or accessories industry
- Experience in training and development of team members
- Knowledge of order management processes
- Experience with SAP AFS1 and SAP Business Objects
- Familiarity with DPM Planning tools
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau
- Experience with automation tools such as Power Automate
- Programming knowledge in Python, Visual Basic, or DAX
