The Community at Brookmeade is currently accepting applications for a full time Housekeeping Aide for The Terraces, Brookmeade's premier Assisted Living Facility!
Shift is Days (7 AM-3 PM)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning chemicals.
- Good communication skills to understand instructions and report issues.
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in assigned areas.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure all fixtures are in working order.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and tidy resident or guest rooms according to established procedures.
- Dispose of trash and recycling materials in a timely and sanitary manner.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with setting up rooms for special events or activities as needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used properly and stored safely.
